Our goal at Forest Springs is to create a relaxing environment where our guests can enjoy the majestic natural beauty of the northwoods, while also experiencing the comfort of many modern amenities.
Neale Lodge
Since the very beginning, Neale Lodge has been the center of activity for most guests. In recent years, it has also been the site of many great building enhancements and additions.
Today, we are happy to offer Neale Lodge as a place where young people, families, community organizations, and business colleagues can gather. With amenities like spacious lounges, wireless internet, gourmet coffee, and comfortable lodge and conference rooms, our guests can truly enjoy an array of comforts all while in the splendor of God's creation.
Great Room
The Great Room is our largest meeting and multi-purpose room, comfortably seating 400-500 people, while also featuring a gym space that can be configured for basketball or volleyball.
Fireside Lounge
Enjoy a comfortable refuge from everyday life in our Fireside Lounge. With plenty of comfortable seating and an amazing view of James Lake, it's the perfect place to have conversations, read, or just relax!
Bear Den Coffee Shop
Located in Neale Lodge, our coffee shop offers a variety of brewed and blended beverages, both hot and cold.
Lodge Cafe
If you are looking for some ice cream, popcorn, or snacks, look no further than the Lodge Cafe, located on the upper level of Neale Lodge.
Gift Shop
The Gift Shop has items such as t-shirts, hats, postcards, books, and various other souvenirs for sale. This is the place to go if you forgot some basic essentials as well.
Fireside Conference Room
Forest Springs' Fireside Conference Room is a perfect environment for a conference, day event, or retreat. Seating 60 (seminar seating) to 120 (theater seating), guests can enjoy an environment that can be customized to meet most needs.
Game Room
The Game Room is located on the lower level of Neale Lodge. Carpetball, foosball, and ping-pong are some of the games provided.
Restrooms and Showers
Additional restrooms and shower facilities are available in the lower level of Neale Lodge.
Lakeview Center
Lakeview Center features a dining hall with a stunning view of James Lake and Forest Springs' ski hill. The lower level of Lakeview Center features an auditorium and meeting room.
Dining Hall
With a grand view of James Lake, the Dining Hall is where our guests can enjoy great food and fellowship. While most meals are served buffet style, some are served plated or family style.
Gustafson Memorial Auditorium
The Gustafson Memorial Auditorium, located on the lower level of Lakeview Center, is our largest meeting room, comfortably seating 300 people. It is furnished with air conditioning, a built-in sound system, stage lighting, and a video projection system.
Lakeview Cove
Adjacent to the main auditorium is Lakeview Cove, a meeting room that seats 50 people.
Adventure Trip Room
The Trip Room functions as the initial point for trip campers to meet and be outfitted.
Ministry Center
The Ministry Center features our main reception area, along with many staff offices and workspaces. In addition, the lower level features a classroom used for Forest Springs' LTD students.
Reception Area
The Ministry Center is one of the first buildings you will see as you arrive at Camp Forest Springs. Our main reception area is located on the main level of the Ministry Center.
First Aid Station
Our First Aid Station is located on the south side of the Ministry Center.
Staff Offices
All three levels of the Ministry Center house staff offices.
Prayer Chapel
The Prayer Chapel, overlooking James Lake, is a refuge from the activities of daily life. Our guests enjoy the stillness of early morning devotions, or the late-night fireside times of prayer. It's an extraordinary place to connect with our Creator!
The Prayer Chapel was built in 2009 through the generous support of Russell and Lorene Walton. Today, it is enjoyed by hundreds of people each year.
Forest Springs' Prayer Chapel is a place of peaceful solitude for staff and guests.
Patio & Playground
The patio and playground area is located near Neale Lodge and Lakeview Center.
Patio
The patio is located between Neale Lodge and Lakeview Center. It is a great place to relax with a book in one of the Adirondack chairs or the cedar log swings. In the fall and winter, it's a great place to cozy up to a warm fire and enjoy hot chocolate and s'mores.
Playground
Just to the east of the patio are the children's playground, gaga ball pits, box hockey, and tether ball poles. This is a fun gathering area for kids of all ages.
Staff Housing
LTD students, Trailhead students, and most contract staff live on the property throughout the year. We have three buildings near the Rustic Road entrance to house them.
Forest Lake Apartments
Forest Lake houses the LTD students and contract staff in two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartments. Each apartment is furnished and includes a full kitchen and private restroom facilities. Shared laundry facilities are on the lower level of the building.
James Lake
James Lake is a dorm-style housing unit for our Trailhead students and summer staff. Shared laundry facilities are available.
Hillside
Hillside is a dorm-style housing unit for our Trailhead students and summer staff. The lower level houses the Trailhead classroom. Shared laundry facilities are available.
