Join us for a canoeing and hiking adventure on the Missouri Breaks in Montana... Forest Springs' Adventure Ministries staff will lead the group as we encounter God's creation up close.
The trip will begin and end at Forest Springs Camp & Conference Center and will include lodging, meals on the river, and transportation to/from the river.
Trip is open to adults, aged 18 or older, or high school aged with parent.
This is an outstanding opportunity to experience a fun and challenging canoe/hike adventure! During the Summer of 1805, Lewis and Clark explored the White Cliffs section of the Missouri River in Montana. In their journals, they described its towering formations as “scenes or visionary enchantment.” We plan to explore by paddling almost 50 miles of river and exploring historic campsites and natural formations. Our staff will be there to assist with navigation, food, and equipment. We will also plan for daily devotions and reflection appropriate for the experience.
Friday: Arrive at Forest Springs for Registration and Orientation at 6:30 pm. Spend the evening at Forest Springs.
Saturday*: Early morning breakfast at camp, travel to North Dakota, and spend the night in a hotel.
Sunday*: Continue travel and begin canoeing to the first campsite.
Monday-Thursday: Enjoy canoeing and hiking along the river. There will be opportunities to fish, swim, have quiet time with God, and fellowship around campfires. Each day, devotional thoughts will be shared to ponder as you experience God’s creation in this wilderness setting, and meals will be prepared by our staff.
Thursday: Head out of the park in the afternoon, eat a meal out together, and stay overnight at a campground.
Friday*: Travel day and spend the night in a hotel.
Saturday*: Early departure and return to Westboro by midafternoon.
*Attendees are responsible for their own meals/snacks while traveling.
