Alaska Cruise Recap
“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”
Without a doubt, all 57 of us who were a part of Camp Forest Springs’ first-ever Alaska Cruise had a new appreciation for this Scripture verse! We experienced the majesty of God’s magnificent creation on a daily basis!

On June 29, we sailed out of Seattle for a 7-day adventure that included visits to Juneau, Skagway, and the Tracy Arm Fjord in Alaska, as well as to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. If you were to ask any of the “cruisers” for their favorite highlight, they would no doubt mention one of the following… whale-watching, visits to the Mendenhall and Sawyer Glaciers, a narrow gauge railway ride to the top of White Pass (where the gold rush stampeders travelled), traveling through the Tracy Arm Fjord, or a visit to Butchart Gardens. The scenery was spectacular!

But beyond the scenery, they would also likely mention highlights like wonderful Bible teaching with our speaker Ray Pritchard, the times of worship and sharing led by John and Diane Windle, and the overall experience of sharing this amazing trip with other believing friends. The fellowship of other believers, whether on a whale-watching tour or in our private meeting room or around our evening dinner hours, was a key to making this a fantastic memory for all of us. The laughter and testimonies all contributed to a trip of a lifetime.

Dan Pierson, one of our cruise leaders, put together a souvenir video to remember the trip. Check out this video to see this celebration of God’s creation… and consider joining us on our next “Consider God’s Wonders” tour!
