Today we are a grieving community!
One of our summer staff members, Jose Forbes, passed through death to eternal life on Saturday, August 3rd. Jose contracted blastomycosis, a fungal infection of the lungs, was admitted to the hospital on Monday, July 29 and deteriorated rapidly over the course of just 5 days.
Our hearts break for the family of Dave & Rebeccah Hopkins (Jose’s sister), for his parents Jerry and Jane Forbes, and for the rest of their family.
Our hearts rest in the promises of God’s Word, including Psalm 91:1-2… “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust”.
We trust not only in God’s perfect sovereignty, but also in His perfect goodness!
