Winter Family Camp 2013

Winter Family Camp Blog Collage

The start of camp’s traditional Winter Family Camp appeared that it was going to get off to a rough start when freezing rain advisories threatened the arrival of our families.  The weather was daunting and resulted in some “white knuckle driving” for our guests, but thankfully ALL of our guests arrived safely… including our speaker, Jay Seegert.  And what a week it was!

Jay Seegert, co-founder of the Creation Education Center, held us in awe with his insightful teaching and masterful PowerPoint presentations, all intended to draw our attention to God the magnificent Creator.

After that first day, the weather was magnificent… lending itself to the full array of winter activities, including downhill skiing (and slalom course), snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, broomball, and ice hockey.  Special events included a late night bonfire on the lake, a caplight ski, and an animal tracks class.

No doubt, the Winter Family Camp of 2013 will be a week to remember!
