Hunter Safety Weekend
Forest Springs September 5-7, 2025
This weekend program includes 10+ hours of classroom and hands-on education*.
Successful participants will receive their Wisconsin DNR hunter education certification.
COST:
Registration Fees (facility use and four meals included):
- Onsite – $126 per person
- Offsite – $58 per person
DNR Certification Fee – $10 per student
Deposit: $50/person – Your balance is due before arrival.
*Any child under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult and they must attend all sessions together.

PROGRAM PARAMETERS
- Age: 10 – adult
- Includes 10+ hours of classroom and hands-on experience.
- Successful participants will receive their hunter safety certification and a free small game license*.
- Anyone 17 years of age and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.
*Must pay DNR Certification fee to receive hunter safety certification and small game license.
SAMPLE SCHEDULE (subject to change)
Friday
- Registration – 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- First class – 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Saturday
- Breakfast, class starts at 8:30 a.m.
- Lunch, class & field practice
- Dinner, class ends at 9:00 p.m.
Sunday
- Continental breakfast, class & review starts at 8:30 a.m.
- Brunch
- Study, review & testing
- Departure by 3:00 p.m.
ACCOMMODATIONS
- Onsite: Standard Cabin (dorm style)
- Group unit with bunk beds, private bath
- Towels/bedding not provided
