Hunter Safety Weekend

Forest Springs September 6-8, 2024

This weekend program includes 10+ hours of classroom and hands-on education*.
Successful participants will receive their Wisconsin DNR hunter education certification.

COST:

Registration Fees (facility use and four meals included):

Onsite – $120 per person
Offsite – $55 per person

DNR Certification Fee – $10 per student

Deposit: $25.00/person – Your balance is due before arrival.

*Any child under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult and they must attend all sessions together.

PROGRAM PARAMETERS

Age: 10 – adult
Includes 10+ hours of classroom and hands-on experience.
Successful participants will receive their hunter safety certification and a free small game license*.
Anyone 17 years of age and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.

*Must pay DNR Certification fee to receive hunter safety certification and small game license.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE (subject to change)

Friday

Registration – 5:30-6:30 p.m.
First class – 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Saturday

Breakfast, class starts at 8:30 a.m.
Lunch, class & field practice
Dinner, class ends at 9:00 p.m.

Sunday

Continental breakfast, class & review starts at 8:30 a.m.
Brunch
Study, review & testing
Departure by 3:00 p.m.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Onsite: Standard Cabin (dorm style)
- Group unit with bunk beds, private bath
- Towels/bedding not provided
