Winter Program Areas at Forest Springs

We've got winter fun covered!

Winter at camp is an amazing time! We've got options for everyone, including miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, snow tubing runs, and even a great ski hill, where you can learn to ski for the first time, or try your hand at jumps and features!

Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding

One of the highlights for winter campers at Forest Springs is our ski hill! Featuring seven different runs, plus a beginner's "bunny hill" and training area, Sunset Hill has something for every age and ability level.

The ski hill is equipped with two well-maintained tow-ropes, and our bunny hill features a state-of-the-art "conveyor"-type lift. We also have our own snow-making equipment as well as a professional grooming machines. Take advantage of our free ski and snowboard lessons, as trained instructors can help you learn the necessary skills to enjoy your time on the hill!

Tubing

The big and small tubing runs are one of our most exhilarating winter program areas! On our two large tube runs, The Bullet and Big Bend, we feature a tube tow to bring our guests back up the hill.

Cross Country Skiing

We have 20km of trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. The glacial moraine landscape lends itself to a trail system with a variable terrain. We have 12 loop trails - mostly 1 to 2 km in length - varying from easy to very difficult. These forest trails are groomed daily - averaging 12-feet in width, and wind there way through our beautiful hardwood and evergreen forests.

Snowshoeing

We have several kilometers of beautiful trails designated especially for snowshoeing. You may bring your own snowshoes or rent some from our Ski Shop.

Indoor & Outdoor Skating Rinks

Whether you'd like to ice skate, play broomball or animal ball, our ice rinks are maintained for your safety and enjoyment. We feature an indoor ice rink (located inside the Rec Barn) and outdoor rinks as conditions permit.
