This done-for-you winter vacation includes meals, plenty of recreational time to enjoy a wide variety of winter activities, and Bible sessions each morning and evening, geared to communicate to the whole family.

Our range of accommodation options from cabins to hotel-style guest rooms allows families of all ages to choose the perfect, stress-free setting for their time away. You are in control of your week with fantastic food options and a “buffet” of activities, including downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and winter games.

General Information About Winter Family Camps in Wisconsin

Most people come to family camp to unplug from their ordinary lives, add depth to family relationships and grow in their understanding of God's Word. Many come away feeling better equipped to live their lives together in a way that brings glory to the Lord.

Forest Springs is a beautiful environment in northcentral Wisconsin where a lot of fun is had every year. Most importantly, it is a Christian ministry. Our staff takes our ministry very seriously, and we hope this shows through our service, the maintenance of our facilities, our Bible teaching times

Just like our family campers are intentional about coming to camps each year, our staff is intentional about what we plan and how we serve.

Upon Your Arrival

At Forest Springs you will be welcomed by staff awaiting your arrival and receive your housing assignments at the reception desk in the Ministry Center. Our friendly staff is there to help you check in, answer any questions, and assist you in finding your housing. It is our aim to make you feel at home as quickly as possible!

Sample Daily Schedule

We will provide you with a program booklet with pertinent information for daily events throughout your stay. The following is a general schedule format:

6:30-8:00 Coffee Shop Open

7:45-9:00 Camper Breakfast in Dining Hall

9:15 Bible Teaching Session

10:30-12 Free Time - Nature Classes and Program Areas Open

11:45-1 Lunch

1-5:30 Free Time - Nature Classes and Program Areas Open

5-6:15 Supper

6:30 Bible Teaching Session

8:00 Free Time - Campfires, Stores, and Select Program Areas Open

A typical day at family camp can be as busy or relaxing as you would like to make it. It's your choice! Families can choose to participate in whatever they choose. There is no pressure! With that said, we would love for you to at least participate in Bible teaching sessions and kid's classes. We believe you will benefit a great deal from having attended.

Meals

Enjoy delicious home-cooked meals offered all-you-can-eat buffet-style.

We are happy to accommodate special dietary needs. Please notify the registrar no later than one week prior to your family camp if special dietary needs are required.

Classes for Children

During Bible teaching sessions, we provide a nursery for children 0-2 and age-appropriate Bible classes for children from preschool through elementary. Each class is led by a passionate, trained teacher ready to provide solid biblical teaching to your child.

Program Areas Offered

For winter family campers, Forest Springs offers a variety of activities such as downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and animal ball.

We also have a coffee shop, cafe (with offerings such as pizza, candy, and ice cream), and gift shop that are open throughout your time at camp.

Winter Family Camp Lodging Options

Forest Springs offers an array of lodging to winter family campers. Guests can choose from our lodge rooms, standard cabins, or lakeside cabins.

What is the difference between a standard cabin, a lakeside cabin, and a lodge room?

Forest Springs has 30 standard cabins that are carpeted and feature private bathrooms and showers. Each cabin unit sleeps up to nine people. Towels and bedding in our standard cabins are not included.

The lakeside cabins each contain two family units, with each unit sleeping up to 10 individuals on five bunk beds. Restroom facilities are located a short walk down the path, and no linens are provided.

Our lodge rooms sleep up to five people and feature a king bed, a bunk bed, and a trundle bed. Each lodge room also features a private bathroom and shower. Bedding and towels are provided in our lodge rooms.

Who attends family camp?

Each family camp is comprised of 35-70 families. Families come in all ages and sizes.

We love ministering to young families just starting their family camp tradition. We serve blended families that are looking to grow even closer. We enjoy serving empty nesters, who come to enjoy family camp with or without their children and grandchildren.

When it comes down to it, we are passionate about seeing families spend time together - to grow in their relationships together and with the Lord.

What's the "feel" of camp?

Forest Springs is situated within the majestic forests of the northwoods, alongside several spring-fed lakes. In this natural environment, we have several trails and activity areas that allow our family campers to learn and have fun in God's perfect creation.

Our modern facilities ensure that campers are comfortable and well cared for by our well-trained, mission-driven staff. We work hard to ensure we provide the comforts of modern amenities, complemented by the natural beauty of the northwoods.

Family camp at Forest Springs is casual and relaxed. We encourage families to be themselves, have fun, and create a lot of memories!

When are Forest Springs' family camps?

In addition to our one winter family camp, we have a total of eight summer family camps - two holiday weekend camps to coincide with Memorial Day and Labor Day, two 3-day family camps, and four 6-day family camps.

What is the cost of winter family camp at Forest Springs?

We work diligently to ensure that our family camps are competitive with (or even less expensive than) family vacations that include lodging, food, etc. Click here to receive pricing information for family camps.

What should I pack for a family camp at Forest Springs?

Pack as if you are going on vacation. For winter family camp, bring plenty of warm clothing, including gear to play outside in the snow. Family campers do have access to on-site, coin-operated washers and dryers.

There are a limited number of coin-operated washers and dryers available.

Electronic devices are welcome unless you choose to intentionally leave them at home. Complimentary wireless internet is available in certain areas within Forest Springs.

Of course, bring your Bible and plenty of paper for taking notes during the Bible teaching times!

What about the detailed information I need?

Prior to your arrival at Forest Springs, you will receive information via email that will provide you with detailed information about your stay with us. After receiving and reviewing that information, please call us at 715.436.7378 should you have any questions.

If I have to cancel Family Camp, do I receive a refund?

If you cancel 30 days or more prior to the date of arrival, you will be refunded 50% of your deposit. After this date, all deposits are non-refundable.

Adjustments in camp fees can be made only for missed meals. Arrangements must be made seven days prior to arrival.
