Hunter Safety Weekend

Every year, Forest Springs hosts a registered Wisconsin Hunter Safety Program for people ages 12 and up*. This weekend program includes 10-plus hours of classroom and hands-on experiences facilitated by certified instructors - who are passionate about Jesus and the great outdoors. It's a weekend filled with great learning opportunities, excellent food and ample time to enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods.  

* Parents/guardians and children must attend all sessions together.

Program Parameters:

* Suggested for ages 12 - adult

* Include 10 hours of classroom and hands-on experiences

* Successful participants will receive their hunter safety certification, a free small game license, and a special pheasant and state waterfowl stamp exemption.

Friday


* 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Registration
 

* 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. - First class

Saturday

* Breakfast, class

* Lunch, class & field practice

* Dinner, class

* Free time
 

Sunday

* Continental breakfast, class, and review

* Brunch

* Study, review & testing

* Departure by 3:00 p.m. 


Accommodations
 

Standard Cabin (dorm style) - $110/person + $10 student DNR fee

* Group unit with bunk beds, private bath
* Towels/bedding not provided. 

Onsite housing not Provided - $50/person + $10 student DNR fee 

Deposit: $25/person (balance is due upon arrival) 

**Please Note: Any child under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
